Fortive Corporation Electrical Hardware Engineer in Pittsfield, Massachusetts

We are seeking an Electrical Hardware Engineer who will focus on product Improvements with focus on performance, quality, and cost with responsibility for the sustainment of existing product lines by providing design changes, optimizations, improvements. Responsibility for the execution of product designs updates for existing product lines and the testing and validation of the updates. This position is also responsible for maintaining regulatory portfolio by managing documentation, testing, and performing specific compliance related tasks.

In this role you will:

  • Work cross functionally to continuously improve product performance, quality, and cost

  • Lead and execute Sustainment/Quality related projects

  • Track projects metrics, cost, schedule, and quality targets

  • Participate in continuous improvement projects such as (Kaizens, PSP etc.)

  • Lead and execute certification & compliance projects and testing

  • Work in global team environment

On your first day, we’ll expect that you’ll have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

  • Knowledge with data loggers, lab equipment and electrical test equipment

  • Experience with electrical simulation software

  • Understanding of a structured product development environment

  • Experience working cross functionally

  • Experience with Microcontroller based systems and basic analog design, is preferred

  • Familiarity with high level languages (LabVIEW, Python, C/C++), is preferred.
