The primary purpose of this position is to oversee the delivery and management of the Identity and Access management (IAM) platforms, tools, processes, and technologies. The Identity & Access Management Officer will work closely with members of the Information Security team as well as across the enterprise to develop, manage and monitor controls to ensure compliance in the areas of user provisioning / de-provisioning, recertification, and access management. This position will work to understand the enterprise architecture and communicate with business areas to ensure that IAM security standards are created and adopted into information security frameworks. This role will provide extensive and effective oversight of the enterprise’s IAM security solutions and operations through management of internal and external resources.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Champion all aspects of the IAM Program, including the business value, ownership of the Identity & Access roadmap, milestones, managing and monitoring controls to ensure compliance in user provisioning / de-provisioning, recertification, access management and communications to the business and Information Technology50%

  • Participate in solution architecture design; lead security efforts assisting with the integration and initial implementation of IAM solutions20%

  • Understand current as well as emerging information security threats and design IAM architecture to mitigate threats where possible20%

  • Stay abreast of new IAM security technologies and integrate into security architecture design when appropriate to effectively manage overall total cost of ownership 10%


  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, or Bachelors Degree in Business with course work in the computer field or equivalent work experience

  • Certifications in the field of Information Security are preferred (CISSP, Security+)


  • Broad technical understanding and 3+ years of experience with current IAM technologies utilized in the financial services industry

  • Experience running an IAM program or project, especially in technologies related to the following IAM lifecycle processes: user provisioning, access management, access governance/access recertification, federation/single sign-on, privileged user management

  • Expert at risk and IAM program compliance and reporting. Experience with working closely with internal and external audit partners

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Analytical/problem solving skills

  • Excellent documentation skills

  • Strong facilitation skills and a clear ability to build strong relationships with business stakeholders at all levels, including senior managers and third parties

  • Significant experience with solutions such as RSA Aveksa /VIA, or other Access Management Suites
