Thermo Fisher Scientific Quality Systems Governance Manager in Plainville, Massachusetts

Location/Division Specific Information

At the Plainville site within the Viral Vector Services (VVS), a division of Thermo Fisher Scientific, we deliver Advanced Therapeutics from process development through commercial supply, and we offer the expertise and resources vital to help clients deliver innovative gene therapies.

How will you make an impact?

Oversight of site Quality Systems align with corporate policies and applicable regulations. Introduces and drives implementation of corporate initiatives. Monitors maturity of site Quality System and drives continuous quality and operational excellence improvements.

What will you do?

  • Implementation and seamless integration of site Quality Management Systems

  • Management of the governance business process including gap assessments, risk assessment, remediation plans and implementation timelines.

  • Liaise with key business partners at Plainville to develop alignment and collaboration on implementation of corporate policies and initiatives

  • Generate, organize and evaluate site metric and performance data to identify trends and implement solutions.

  • Facilitate and lead the ongoing review, education and training on governance processes at Plainville

  • Collaborate with multi-functional leaders to establish, align and implement global data policies, standards, compliance, and processes

How you will get here:

Education

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or biological sciences or related technical field.

Experience

  • At least 6-8 years’ experience for a BS, 3 years’ experience with Masters, or 1 years’ experience with a Ph.D. related training experience including the design and administration of training programs.

  • Strong writing and record keeping experience required.

  • Supervisory experience required.

  • Project Management and/or prior management experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Solid understanding of industry specific requirements.

  • Project management expertise including prioritization and problem solving.

  • Superb communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, especially the ability to translate compliance lexicon into business benefits language and build consensus among various partners.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

  • Excels at working on multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Ability to drive functional, technical and operational excellence.

  • Ability to inspire and foster innovation, collaboration, transparency and team effectiveness.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cross functionally with a diverse group of individuals to keep to timelines and meet internal/external commitments.
