Support the business by extracting the most useful information available from the masses of data generated by and within our systems. Enhance accounting information systems using accounting specific IT infrastructure, software, financial data, data security procedural protocol and the people who use these components of the system. Provide a stream of well-organized and accessible financial data and statistical information used by management to create financial reports and make business decisions. Enhance accounting applications; Work with cross functional teams on system enhancements to ensure our financial systems are meeting our business needs, including assessment of best practices that could be implemented to ensure that we are optimally setting up our internal processes and structure. Review and audit controls, data processing, data integrity, general operation, maintenance, security and other aspects of information systems used by business. Apply knowledge of accounting, auditing methods and procedures to support design and development of Accounting Information systems and applications. Liaison with Third Party consultants to assess the inefficiencies in company systems and make recommendations for improvement. Ensure internal policies, procedures, and documentation (manuals and guides) are complete and published. Active participating member of the BIS committee and CCB. Act as System Security Administrator for all Accounting information systems. Apply problem-solving skills to resolve operational issues Relentlessly pursue improvements, new ideas and new solutions. Participate in ongoing training and maintain current knowledge. Transfer knowledge to the business Develop and execute training plans. Perform all other related duties as assigned. Hydroid-Cutrona-0483 Qualifications Five years of related accounting experience in a fast-pace defense contracting environment, including fixed asset and cash management, general accounting, cost accounting and reconciliation experience, preferred; strong attention to detail; BA degree and accounting background. Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft office suite including, Outlook PowerPoint, Word and Excel; Advanced knowledge of Deltek Costpoint or similar ERP system. Knowledge of database and report writing systems. The ideal candidate is an individual that can work in a fast paced environment; with a high attention to detail, excellent problem solving skills, ability to multi-task and enthusiastic attitude. A condition of this position will require the successful Applicant to pass a government security investigation and must subsequently receive authorization to access US Department of Defense Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and potentially classified information.
