Works extensively with large sets of data and develops secure and efficient processes, utilizing various software applications to streamline and expedite the generation of client facing reports. Functions & Responsibilities: -Responsible for the efficient, compliant, timely & secure acquisition, integration, provision & exchange of the enterprise data between HFI & our clients. -Responsible for reporting specifications, including report creation, data & report validation. -Review reports to determine basic characteristics: origin & report flow, format, frequency, distribution, purpose of function of report. -Review/maintain entire suite of reports in various systems with business users to evaluate reports for retention purposed. -Develop ongoing/ad-hoc reports to be used for internal reporting needs. -Prepare/issue instructions concerning generation, completion & distribution of reports according to new or revised practices, procedures, informational needs or report management practices. -Liaise with other IT staff to keep updates documentation of process, workflows & user requirements. -Work with internal business/technology staff to accurately gather/interpret requirements, specifications & database models to determine appropriate ETL development solutions. Works closely with Finance to create integrated reports using data from Great Plains accounting package & data from our homegrown Access/SQL applications. -Develop ETL technical specification/recommend, design, develop, test, implement/automate & support innovative & optimal data solutions. -Develop/document technical best practices for ETL-related automations including data movement, data aggregation, data quality & data cleansing. -Assess/document structure, quality & compliance of source data & coordinate with business/technology staff to identify/resolve issues. -Create, execute & document unit test plans for ETL/data integration processes & programs. -Monitor/administer automated/manual data integration & ETL jobs to verify execution/measure performance. -Communicate project status, issues, and accomplishments periodically to staff and users requesting reports. -Other duties may be assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: -Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems with 1-2 years of experience or equivalent work experience (i.e. ETL/Data Integration Specialist with 1-3 years of experience in an enterprise business environment). -Must have experience with (at least one) ETL toolset, (preferably Pentaho Spoon). -Familiarity with common data warehousing tasks: data staging, data integration, building conformed dimensions, mapping tables. -Experience working with high volume data exchange & integrating large (100m + rows) structured/unstructured data in multiple formats, character sets & delivery methods. -Desirable/Preferred Experience/Knowledge of: Machine Learning, Matlab, BI tools, (expert-level) SQL user. -Experienced with scripting/scheduling tools to build data processing & reporting automations. -Advanced knowledge in MSO Excel & Access; solid experience in VB6/VB.net. Experience with other MSO applications/plug-ins; Security, networking & DBA skills a plus. -Expertise in working with technical and business teams to extract and document data integration/exchange requirements. -Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively, both verbal & written, handle multiple projects & meet monthly deadlines.
