OneSky Flight, LLC Infrastructure Engineer in Quincy, Massachusetts
The OneSky IT Team supports the technology needs of multiple established companies within the Private Jet industry. The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for providing guidance and engineering solutions to fulfill business requirements using industry best practices and in accordance with architectural standards and engineering methodology.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead & Support migration of infrastructure applications, servers and services from on-premise to cloud services while maintaining industry best practices for security, disaster recovery and business continuity.
Architect, Design and Deliver solutions using existing Infrastructure components. Implement new infrastructure technologies as introduced and establish best practices for their adoption. Resolve unforeseen incidents and initiate change to ensure future issues can be managed more efficiently.
Assists engineers and other operations team members in implementing and troubleshooting cloud (primarily AWS) infrastructure solution.
Prepare a monthly inventory report of all servers & services (i.e. route 53, cloud watch) and the applications that run on them both on premise and in the cloud with costs for each where practical/appropriate.
Works closely with software architects to identify, research, and experiment with other cloud tools, technologies, and frameworks that will help our teams to move faster in our cloud environments.
Establish standards for tools related to building, deploying, and monitoring software systems and documenting best practices.
Identify improvements and options to reduce our operating costs in all environments.
Skills and Attributes:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Networking or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
5+ years’ experience with migration from physical infrastructure to cloud services in AWS / Azure
5+ years’ experience managing virtual servers & SAN storage
5-7 years’ experience with enterprise-level LAN, WAN, and WLAN engineering, design, and implementation
Experience in Microsoft products, protocols and tools: Microsoft Exchange O365, SharePoint, Active Directory, SQL, DNS
Good knowledge of Linux Operating Systems.
Experience in working with software developers to troubleshoot deployment challenges
Experience with software development processes and methodologies preferred
Experience building cloud native/cloud first applications in a cloud environment such as AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure preferred
AWS Certification Preferred
Microsoft Azure Certification Preferred
Experience within a global enterprise
Solid verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
