State of Massachusetts IT Account Management Administrator in Quincy, Massachusetts

The EHS Account Management Administrator is responsible for the duties and tasks within AD Account Management support unit. This unit is responsible for Maintaining, supporting and assisting in the administration of EHS AD Network Account Access. The AD Account Management support can be defined as, but is not limited to the following: AD Account Creation, Maintenance and Termination, Creating and Maintaining Distribution Lists, and Server Access (Personal Drives and Shared Drives).


  • Responsible to oversee the timely, accurate and courteous delivery of Network Account Access services to Agency, Secretariat and Non-Secretariat Staff.

  • Responsible to oversee the creation and maintenance of user accounts and access rights to all Network Servers.

  • Responsible to oversee the creation and maintenance of user accounts for remote access

  • Assists in the training of personal in Network Account Management procedures.

  • Responsible to oversee the communication of all related issues to Agency, Secretariat, or Non-Secretariat staff through channels set forth by the Unit Manager.

  • Responsible to oversee the monitoring and reporting to the Unit Manager of any actual or potential breach in Security.

  • Create and maintain statistical and narrative reports and prepare reports for audit requests.

  • Enforce confidentiality policy and security standards.

  • Perform as the liaison for AD Account Management related issues between Remote Sites, Central Office, and IT Operations Services.

  • Responsible to oversee the trouble shooting and escalation through appropriate channels of all AD Account Management related issues/problems

  • Responsible to keep customers informed on the status of their request and to assure customer satisfaction.

  • Assumes personal responsibility to assure that all unit business is conducted in a professional and cooperative manner.

  • Assume personal responsibility to maintain technical proficiency.

  • Responsible to perform related duties as required.


  • 3 – 5 Years of Account Management Experience

  • Experience supporting MS Office Suite

  • Experience working with Active directory

  • Knowledge of and experience with the Local Area Networks (physical and logical).

  • Knowledge of IT industry standards.

  • Ability to communicate professionally both verbally and written with peers and management

  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

  • Ability to understand the laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, standards and guidelines governing all EOHHS activities

  • Knowledge and experience with basic security measures and requirements

  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities

  • Ability to Lead / Work in a team setting

  • Ability to prioritize tasks
