Executes security controls to prevent hackers from infiltrating company information or jeopardizing e-commerce programs.

Researches attempted efforts to compromise security protocols. Maintains security systems for routers and switches. Administers security policies to control access to systems. Maintains the company*s firewall. Uses applicable encryption methods. Provides information to management regarding the negative impact on the business caused by theft, destruction, alteration or denial of access to information.

As part ofOracle s GlobalBusiness Unitswithin theSecurity EngineeringTeam, you will be part of the Platform team identifying security toolgaps and issues while coordinating resolutions with the relevant technicalsupport groups, businesses at risk and service recovery teams. As a member ofthis team, you will execute controls to protect the environment againstinternal and external malicious attacks.

Using powerful tools, this analyst will ensureeffectiveness of the security program and its alignment with corporate policy.This role will be responsible for the maintenance and analysis of currenttools, monitoring for gaps or weaknesses in coverage, ensuring compliance withpolicy and industry standards (e.g. PCI, HIPAA), and promoting securitythroughout the organization. In addition, it will be necessary to collaboratewith members of other lines of business to identify and address concernsrelated to security posture and security initiatives. The analyst will beexpected to participate in security project tasks on an as needed basis, andinteract directly with Security organizations and multiple Lines of Businessglobally.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, maintain, and improve security tool platforms,including SIEM, IDS/IPS, Web Application Firewalls, Endpoint Protection

  • Work directly with system owners to implementsecurity controls and configure new tools

  • Enhance existing security tools and processeswhich provide the organization value by reducing risk

  • Development and execution of Standard OperatingProcedures, Event Handlers, and Job Aids required for successful taskcompletion

  • Perform effective troubleshooting to ensure toolefficiency, provide root cause analysis, and develop plans for remediation



Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years IT security experience, which includesnetworking, end-point and system level security suites

  • Experience with one or more of the followingsecurity tools:

o SecurityInformation and Event Management (SIEM)

o Antivirus

o WebApplication Firewall

o IntrusionDetection Systems

  • Experience in security aspects of multipleplatforms, operating systems, software, communications and network protocols oran equivalent combination of education and work experience

  • Understanding of networking protocols andinfrastructure designs; including routing, firewall functionality, host andnetwork intrusion detection systems, encryption, load balancing, and othernetwork infrastructure

  • Knowledge of security processes and technologiesincluding threat detection, security monitoring, and specific tools: SIEM, AV,IDS/IPS

  • Experience working with both Linux and Windowsoperating systems

  • Excellent communication skills, analyticalability, strong judgment and leadership skills, and the ability to work effectivelywith IT management and staff

  • Dedicated and self-driven desire to stayknowledgeable of current security threats and counter-measures; enthusiasticteam-member

  • Network behavior and anomaly detectionexperience a plus

  • Desirable certifications include: CISSP; CCSP; SANSGIAC GCED; GCIH; GCFA; GIAC GOLD
