State of Massachusetts Senior Project Manager, Business Operations in Quincy, Massachusetts
The MassHealth Chief Operating Office is seeking qualified applicants for the position ofSenior Project Manager, Business Operations. The Senior Project Manager, Business Operations will lead, support, and promote organizational effectiveness, consistency and efficiency. The incumbent will facilitate collaborative problem solving, decision making, communication, and consistency across all Programmatic Projects within the Chief Operating Office. Supporting Projects across the Chief Operating Office (COO) will require intense collaboration with senior leadership, Directors in other MassHealth units, as well as interfacing with providers, health plans, collective bargaining units and member advocacy organizations. _Job Duties and Responsibilities:_ * The Senior Project Manager we be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with MassHealth’s strategy, commitments and goals. * Aid all of the COO Business Teams and others as required (Vendor Operations, Training, Administrative Services, Workforce Management, Customer Service, Systems, MassHealth Enrollment Centers (MECS), Contact Centers) with project management needs. * Lead projects that improve the management and operations of the COO Office. * Respond to requests from legislators and constituents _Preferred Qualifications:_ * Strong Project management planning, integration, coordination, and monitoring. PMP Certified and/or the ability to become PMP certified. * Manage and sustain multiple and complex relationships and ensure constant communication. * Strong Process Improvement experience with Design Thinking, Six Sigma, LEAN, etc. * The ability to design, implement, and monitor detailed project plans. * The ability to work under significant time pressures to meet unanticipated demands. . * The ability to develop effective teams without direct supervision. * Demonstrated sound judgment with ability to take calculated risks. * Strong written/oral communication, along with quantitative and qualitative analytical skills and attention to detail. * Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds. * Competency with common software applications, such as Microsoft Office. * Planning, convening, directing, supporting and overseeing cross-agency project management teams. * Bachelor’s Degree with a major in business administration, business management, public administration or other relevant areas. * At least five years of full-time project management experience in business administration, business management or public administration. * Experience managing a budget and working in a limited-resource environment. * Experience with complex Information Technology systems. _TO APPLY:_ Please upload both Resume and Cover Letter for this position when applying.
