Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. Define specifications for significant new projects and specify, design and develop software according to those specifications. You will perform professional software development tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.
Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 8 or more years of software engineering or related experience.
This is a remote/office based position which may be performed anywhere in the United States except for within the state of Colorado.

We are the Oracle Cloud Integration team providing Oracle customers worldwide and Oracle internal teams a comprehensive modern platform for designing, deploying and running large industrial scale data and transaction integration work loads (flows) between SaaS and on-premises applications as well as many legacy ERP systems and protocol endpoints. The product is entirely offered as a cloud based solution, running natively on the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. Our team owns all aspects of the Integration platform / product from requirements gathering, systems design, functional specifications, implementation, testing, documentation, deployment, execution, dev-ops and customer support. What you’ll do:
Work with Product Management and Integration Architects on identifying new features and product enhancements
Design such enhancements or new features through a detailed specification and review process
Prototyping and Implementing such enhancements or new features within an allotted time span, spanning one or more sprints
Ensure a high quality deliverable in terms of usability, correctness, maintainability, performance and resource utilization
Ensure enhancements and new features are fully covered with extensive test cases before released to build systems
Fix bugs and regressions as other teams or customers reports them
Participate in customer critical issues calls as needed. May sometimes require your attention at odd hours.
Who you are:
You have a PhD/MS/BS/BA in Computer Science/Engineering
You have worked for at least 5-10 years in the software industry
You have a good foundation in Cloud Native design and coding
You are experienced in Agile development, scrums, and using JIRA for tracking and reporting
You are very experienced in writing high performant Java code and tests and are proficient in the latest Java release
You have a good understanding of networking, virtualization and container concepts
You have a proven understanding of data structures, algorithms, distributed systems and Web technologies.
You have extensive experience in writing Java based micro services, RESTful services and JSON
You have solid experience in using Kubernetes, Docker, Prometheus and Grafana. Micronaut a plus.
You have solid experience with Github, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Gradle and Maven
You may have some experience with Oracle Cloud products, such as OCI
You have excellent software development skills, good verbal/written communication skills, is analytical, can multi-task,
You have some experience in helping customers during stressful critical issues
You are proficient in spoken/read/written English.
You harbor great team working skills, is good at completing tasks on time and being punctual, is positive and good at listening, has great problem solving and decision making skills
