This position is eligible for all 3 personas: Resident, Mobile, eWorkerThe Technical Product Owner will be a member of the Operational Data Solutions Delivery team managing various core healthcare data such as membership, Salesforce and CRM products at BCBSMA. Having a strong focus on defining, managing, and executing the product roadmaps in collaboration with SMEs, engineers and business stakeholders is critical to this role. As the Technical Product Owner, you will establish and drive Agile practices to manage enterprise-wide data transformation and integration projects using industry standard tools like Jira and Confluence.
- Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science or related field is required
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
Build and manage enterprise data and integration domain roadmap to support strategic and operational portfolio initiatives.
Manage and mentor peer and junior data product owners to adopt agile processes of building and delivering data products.
Responsible for defining stories, prioritizing the team backlog and ensuring its visibility to business partners and ET leadership.
Develop information awareness across the organization ensuring that the business leverage data to drive decisions.
Attends and actively participates in Team Ceremonies: Iteration Planning, Daily Scrum, Iteration Review, Iteration Retrospective.
Manage upstream and downstream business communication related to product being developed and to meet critical business needs.
Understands data architecture, solutions and platforms supporting enterprise data & integration transformation working with infrastructure and data engineers.
Work towards improving data operations to deliver quality product using best in class DevSecOps, and CI/CD platforms.
Drive technical design discussions, understand technical dependencies and communicate requirements to engineering teams.
Have end-to-end experience ownership, including taking final decisions on product functionality.
Manage all forms of documentation for data products to support needs of analytics, engineering and operations staff.
Stay on top of all relevant healthcare and consumer technology trends, competitors, and market offerings.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
7 years of progressive work experience within data, digital and API product management areas.
4 years of experience working with SQL or NoSQL databases like Oracle, Netezza, Postgres DB, MongoDB.
4 years of experience working as a product owner focused on digital platforms (mobile, web, omni-channel) & integration of products / applications using microservices based API architecture.
Minimum 2 years of experience with Jira & Confluence for product management.
Scrum Product Owner certification highly desirable and a huge plus.
Healthcare domain knowledge is a huge plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
