The Plan Systems Platform Lead supports the Supply Chain Plan organization to improve planning capabilities by driving value realization from existing investments, and by prioritizing and implementing ongoing enhancements for continuous improvement.
The position has a global scope, with responsibilities for all franchises within MedTech Supply Chain that are using the platform assigned to the role.
Partner with MedTech Global Leaders to assess, shape and implement the PLAN maturity strategy for assigned planning processes & systems, ensuring alignment to MedTech PLAN Transformation and other cross-functional programs.
Align with global MedTech PLAN teams to identify, rationalize, and prioritize the desired process & systems enhancements to strengthen planning capabilities.
Ensure all assigned system solutions are consistently meeting the needs of the MedTech PLAN community, taking action to address break-fix issues while also managing efforts to improve business capabilities via system improvements where applicable.
Lead the Change Control Board meetings for the systems within the respective scope to provide progress visibility for enhancement projects.
Provide proactive, concise, and pertinent communications to partners, peers and end-users for critical updates related to planning systems. On an ongoing basis, gauge the organizational “pulse” through various means (i.e. dialog, surveys, etc.) in order to better understand external perspectives and opportunities.
Collaborate with other supply chain functions (IT, Master Data, Project Deployment, Planning Excellence, etc.) to build working relationships across all teams that improve business performance.
Facilitate process management trainings as well as knowledge & experience sharing to strengthen team capabilities.
Govern operational stability of legacy processes and tools to ensure appropriate business process execution where applicable.
A minimum of a University/Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent is required.
Focus degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering is preferred.
Minimum eight (8) years of relevant experience is required.
Minimum three (3) years of people management experience is required.
Experience in a regulated industry is preferred.
Experience in system or process change projects is preferred.
Knowledge of the planning processes and functions of end-to-end planning processes is required.
High-level Microsoft Office Applications knowledge required, proficiency with Microsoft Project & Visio is preferred.
Knowledge of planning systems, such as Manugistics, OMP+ and APO is required.
Strong communication skill is required.
Keeps abreast of emerging trends and best practices within the Advanced Planning area.
PMP, FPX, Green Belt or equivalent certifications is preferred.
APICS certification (CPIM, CFPIM or CIRM) is preferred.
Strong English verbal and written communication skills is required.
Travel requirements: variable between 10-25 % of time
