Summary of Role:

Reporting to the Assoc. Director of Endpoint Technologies the Sr. Manager of endpoint technology is responsible for Raytheon Technologies’ end point hardware and virtual desktop solutions.

In this role, you will be responsible for setting standards for Raytheon’s standard endpoint hardware, working closely with Raytheon’s businesses and our suppliers to ensure hardware requirements are met and agreed to. You will also oversee our virtual desktop service, working with businesses on use cases and adoption, managing and partnering with our supplier on service delivery, and driving our strategy for desktop and application virtualization.

Responsibilities:

Lead cross-business hardware governance team tasked with selecting hardware standards for the enterprise.

Drive strategy for hardware and its’ business value realization.

Lead small team of employees and manage multiple suppliers in delivery of services.

Monitor and report on vendor provided service delivery metrics and overall performance.

Lead and develop new processes as process gaps are defined and services mature.

Partner with businesses on virtual desktop use cases and adoption to drive business value for service.

Work closely with suppliers to ensure hardware and virtual desktop capacity is aligned with and managed to current and future business demand.

Manage and escalate major incidents and problems. Attain root cause for major incidents and oversee corrective action.

Oversee supplier service delivery, ensuring changes, incidents, and new releases to the service are managed to Raytheon expectations.

Preferred Qualifications:

Excellent communication skills. Can tailor communication of complex topics to varied audiences effectively.

Ability to forge trusting relationships and bridge diplomatic solutions.

Strong problem solving skills.

Good understanding of desktop hardware technology and trends.

Solid understanding of desktop and application virtualization technologies, including VMWare, Citrix XenDesktop, and Microsoft App-V.

Understanding of desktop management concepts and technology.

ITIL certification.

Experience managing outsourced IT suppliers.

Project management

Empathic focus on end user needs.

3-5 years of experience managing one or more IT services preferred.

Education:

Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
