We are looking for a Director of Cloud Services to lead our growing team of Cloud and Virtualization Engineers with an automation and service reliability mindset. A successful candidate will have a passion for automation, monitoring, self-service, virtualization, cloud based and hyper converged infrastructure based technologies. We are looking for a leader who can develop a roadmap to deliver IaaS for critical workloads (both on premise and in the cloud) from design to deployment while ensuring high quality of health, reliability and availability. There is a heavy companywide focus to develop a sustainable and repeatable server/application deployment process to address vulnerabilities within pre-defined SLAs. In addition, there is a growing demand to enable and run solutions in the cloud for interesting, complex and customer facing applications.

Manage and multiple teams, with two managers. Drive organizational discipline in Infrastructure DevOps while also assuring service reliability for customer facing workloads
Your teams will be responsible for design and build of delivery of cloud and HCI environments with use of scripting tools with a focus on end-user experience, performance, scalability, availability and DR for vital and critical workloads
Specify, design, develop, and implement DevOps frameworks and solutions. Including but not limited to, continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines, cloud deployment/management strategies, and various levels of automation
Manage financials and labor reports through various tools and reporting mechanisms to efficiently deliver projects and resource management
Collaborate with internal/vendor IT teams and business to foster successful partnerships critical to the design, development, testing, and implementation of automated/continuous deployment solutions
Provide architectural inputs for system design to improve scalability, reliability and availability of applications
Assist in developing a multi-cloud/on premise connectivity approach and roadmap the multi-cloud strategy and how to approach incorporating it into a hyper scale capacity model.
Security and proactive/continuous monitoring of systems and data must be of paramount focus in everything you do
Engagement with business units and application teams on demand and capacity management
Operationalize the demand management process and raise awareness when usage is atypical. Perform data analysis for a more reliable and predictive forecasting model
Drive architectural decision-making, influence technology consumption and build solutions that solve complex problems.
Establish processes and manage resources in a manner that streamlines resource workloads and positions the company for success
Strong verbal and written communication as well as presentation skills. This position will report to senior leadership and will be expected to deliver presentations to that team
Establish processes and tools to maintain code base integrity, including validation rules, branch/merge processes, and adherence to security and compliance requirements
Possess a history of building and maintaining effective global teams, as well as successfully leading and driving strategic changes in large dynamic organizations
Must have a deep personal interest and enthusiasm for the technologies and processes that allow employees to perform at their best.
This candidate will also have experience in many of these areas and has helped to build this type of cloud and support model in the past
Minimum of 3+ years as a Director in an IT Infrastructure role with 3+ years of experience in DevOps Management role
3+ years of experience with scripting and automation tools, such as, Terraform, Helm, Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet, etc.
Public Cloud experience, such as, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure. Google Cloud Platform experience is a plus.
3+ years of experience leveraging with hyper converged infrastructure, such as, Nutanix, VMWare Cloud Foundations, or similar HCI with hyper scale modeling for capacity
Experience in leading and growing teams to improve productivity and in building ownership mentality within team members
Experience with designing/developing highly concurrent, mission-critical systems & working and leading an agile team
Experience with developing and deploying in the Cloud environment leveraging Cloud native services Container Services, Database Services, Micro Services etc.
Develop prototypes to demonstrate the merits of a proposed solution
Strong communication, collaboration and problem solving skills
Experience in establishing CI/CD pipeline, deployment automation using scripting/automation tools
Experience in establishing a cloud billing model, security and compliance, and overall cost optimization for a multitenant environment with tools such as orbitera, rightscale, cloudhealth, etc.
Experience with establishing a repeatable and sustainable process for managing security vulnerabilities by patching servers and applications on a frequent basis
Experience in design and development of monitoring solutions for various Linux and Windows platforms, applications and log monitoring
Knowledge of Linux, Virtualization Technologies, Networking, Proxies, Load Balancing and other concepts
Experience in working with globally distributed teams
Minimum Bachelor’s degree
BS, MS or MBA from accredited/recognized university
Must have worked in a managerial capacity for the last 8+ years
