Quality Engineer - Salesforce III Location: Remote Job Description
Client is looking someone with a passion for automated testing to drive unit test coverage and help drive down our manual regression testing.
In building dependable automation tests, candidate will be working on a top priority in our mission critical mobile application with thousands of daily users.
We need someone who can bring creative thinking to a hard challenge and help use create a foundation of tests which bring us confidence each time we release.
Candidate will work with Swift and KIF to create tests at unit and functional/UI layers, helping us to focus on the highest value tests first and even help shape our testing strategy.
As a quality/automation engineer, your primary responsibility will be writing and maintaining unit & functional tests:
Unit tests on iOS using Swift
Functional tests on iOS using Swift and KIF
Candidates need to have a background in Object-Oriented programming concepts and constructs. Hands-on Swift programming knowledge is a must for this position.
Candidate have experience adding high quality unit/functional tests to a legacy code base, which may include refactoring code in Objective-C and Swift
Candidate will need to be a hands-on engineer who can independently define, design automation scripts. Candidate will be required to test the product and also define, design, create, test cases and test plans.
Candidate should be self-directed, team-oriented with a strong ability to work with the cross-functional teams. Candidate will need to identify missing test cases and refine existing scripts for modularity and to enable automation, estimate and prioritize work for optimal risk mitigation.
Candidate also have to be comfortable with initial manual testing of new features, so you have the understanding of functional knowledge, including the software systems to implement automation.
Hands on programming knowledge in Swift is must for this role - Objective-C experience is considered a plus
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
Expert ability to write clear and concise test documents and automation scripts
Experience in delivering engineering applications using agile/scrum methodology
Bachelor's Degree in CS/engineering discipline or equivalent experience
Objective-C experience is considered a plus
Experience in unit and functional testing (Espresso) on Android is a plus
Familiar with Open-Source Automation Frameworks
Experience with iOS app development is a plus
Experience with client website is a plus
