The Workday Business Systems Analyst functions as a subject matter expert for all HR transactions and business processes, including advising the HR team, managers, and employees on proper use of Workday in support of overall business operations. This person will have the opportunity to support the following: HCM, Advanced Compensation, Security, Integrations, Report Writing, Absence, Time Tracking, Talent, and US Payroll.

Reporting Structure

This new Workday Business Systems Analyst will report directly to the Manager, Workday.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Assist with ongoing Workday projects including application testing, implementation, enhancements/upgrades, report writing, new functionality investigation and deployment.

  • Collaborate with other members of HRIT team to support the research and resolution of Workday system issues, unexpected results, or process flaws; perform scheduled activities; recommend solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements

  • Analyze bi-annual upgrades to assess impact of new features. Provide support for upgrades and enhancements.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support growing business operations by gathering requirements, re-designing current processes, and implementing new functionality in Workday.

  • Diagnose and resolve issues (end-user, business process, security, etc.). Provide support to HR and other end-users.

  • Develop and maintain documentation of HR systems business processes.

  • Perform routine audits for system data validation/integrity and work with key stakeholders to make necessary changes

  • Assist with special projects and annual initiatives such as Open Enrollment, compensation review cycle, performance reviews, etc.


  • Must have hands-on experience as a Workday analyst or administrator responsible for configuration, testing, and support of several Workday modules

  • High level of initiative and attention to detail

  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously

  • Strong and effective written, verbal and presentation skills with the ability to collaborate with team members and business stakeholders at all levels of the organization 

  • Advanced knowledge of Workday Report Writer preferred

  • Ability to work cross-functionally
