Role Characteristics:

  • Provide direct input into the governance cycle that supports the achievement of key goals, planning and execution of various business scenarios, and delivery of bottom line business value

  • Prepare a model that visually describes the design of the organization in the form of diagrams

  • Define the data shared across the enterprise and the relationships between those data

  • Work with Data Governance team, customer and IT/CX to apply Data Governance and Management standards

  • Understand broad data management ecosystem such as MDM, Data Quality, Data Security, Meta Data Management for an organization with knowledge on architecture to orchestrate various technology groups

  • Liaison between business and technical partners

  • Develop a business architecture strategy based on a situational awareness of various business scenarios and motivations.

  • Apply a structured business architecture approach and methodology for capturing the key views of the enterprise.

  • Capture the tactical and strategic enterprise goals that provide traceability through the organization and are mapped to metrics that provide ongoing governance.

  • Assists the organization to make sure that the IT/CX and business projects are in alignment with the objectives of the organization and Data Governance program

  • Ensures that there is a delivery of the business value of the organization and that the specialized business settings are taken into consideration

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or relevant experience

  • At least 7 years experience

  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future

  • Insurance knowledge a must; A broad, enterprise-wide view of the business and varying degrees of appreciation for strategy, processes and capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance

  • Understands concepts and applications of business information models

  • Ability to act as liaison conveying information needs of the business to IT and data constraints to the business; including business strategy, IT/CX strategy, and business processes and work flow automation (Robotics)

  • Strong situational analysis and decision making abilities

  • Ability to manage and lead executive level discussions with stakeholders

  • Provide strong leadership to ensure effective implementation of DG and metadata policies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to visualize and create high-level models that can be used in future analysis to extend and mature the business architecture

  • Experience planning and deploying both business (IT a plus) initiatives

  • Experience modeling business processes using a variety of tools and techniques

  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization

  • Ability to act as liaison conveying information needs of the business to IT and data constraints to the business; including business strategy, IT/CX strategy, and business processes and work flow automation (Robotics)

  • Demonstrates knowledge of Data Governance and Management as defined by Data Management Association International (DAMA)

  • DAMA certification a plus

  • Experience in working with data lineage tools and understanding how data moves across the organization

  • Participate as a lead member of a Data Stewardship program and Competency Center
