The Change Management & Communications Lead will enable the technology organization to achieve greater flexibility and competitive advantages by leveraging its human capital through the development of a mature change ready and agile organization. Participates as a member of the management team to develop and implement strategies for the technology organization to enable effective, quality execution and delivery of business outcomes. Consults on business initiatives and recommends change management and communication strategies to facilitate new changes while minimizing resistance, improving performance and achieving greater speed of adoption. Manages, coaches and develops organizational change capacity through support and training at all levels. This position reports directly to the Head of Unified Centers of Excellence.
Lead the organizational change management strategy and delivery efforts for all Unified CoE initiatives including Agile enablement, Quality management modernization and Knowledge management journey at MassMutual
Drive organizational and operational change management strategies for special initiatives and engagements across the technology organization
Apply an industry leading structured methodology for change management activities
Guide the advancement of the change management discipline and ensure the understanding and adoption of a common methodology using specialism and expertise to promote change management practices
Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders across technology and business organizations to be seen as an established and trusted partner
Develop communications, training and organizational engagement strategies designed to drive organizational change
Implement internal communications, messaging and distribution approaches to drive organizational alignment
Consult and coach project teams on the integration of change management activities into project & delivery plan
Manage the change load portfolio, identify risks, advise on adjustments and propose countermeasures for capacity planning
Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress
Build and develop strategic organizational capabilities in alignment with business goals and directives through established Leaders Forum, Practitioner Forum and Communities of Practice (Learning Circles) as continuous improvement and sustainment vehicles
Manage the coordination of standardized communications across the organization such as the Delivery News as a tool to drive messaging and organizational strategic alignment
Develop and lead a change professional flex team as needed to support organizational demand
8 years of communications, performance development or organizational change management experience
Demonstrated experience in running large scale organizational change efforts, managing teams, driving desired business outcomes, identifying gaps and omissions, and designing solutions
Experience with the ADKAR model of change management principles, methodologies and tools
Proven experience in building a change management environment
Exceptional communication skills and ability to adjust messaging and tailor content for intended audiences to achieve desired results
Ability to establish and maintain strong and effective working relationships
Ability to work effectively at all levels of an organization and influence toward a common vision or goal
Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
Organized with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics
Acute business acumen and understanding of business issues or challenges and the inherent role of organizational culture
Prosci Change Management Practitioner certification
Prosci Train-the-Trainer certification
HR background a plus including experience with organizational deployments and learning and development programs
Agile methodology and traditional software development life cycle experience is a plus
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
