Provide state-of-the-art technical expertise and support to in-house developers to apply appropriate information security procedures and products. Provide technical expertise and support to clients, IT management and staff in risk assessments and the implementation and operation of appropriate information security procedures and products. Design, evaluate, test and implement appropriate security methods and control techniques such as firewalls, intrusion detection software, data encryption, data backup and recovery. Maintain an awareness of existing and proposed security standard setting groups, State and Federal legislation and regulations pertaining to information security and data privacy.
Plan and manage the Cyber Infrastructure protection program, inclusive of evaluating current capabilities, identifying enhancement opportunities, road mapping enhancements based on need, and overseeing successful implementation of Network, Web and Infrastructure security protection Technologies (50%)
Plan and develop Infrastructure protection policies and solutions for MassMutual Home Office and the Field force through collaboration with Law, Compliance, and Enterprise Risk functions to protect MassMutual information (30%)
Evaluate current Infrastructure security capabilities in place to support effective and appropriate protection controls; inclusive of tools for monitoring network and web usage on premise and in cloud environments as well as endpoint and device access based solutions for protecting information across and outside the organization. (10%)
Conduct POCs for new capabilities and partner with Technology Leads to select, implement and tune security tool sets selections and inclusion in the road maps (10%)
Manage and oversee relationships with third parties selected to ensure business requirements are met and that issues are promptly addressed when they arise
Prototype end to end capabilities that span both legacy and new systems
Facilitate monthly metrics on the Cyber Infrastructure Protection program evidencing effectiveness and coverage of capabilities
Provide support and guidance during internal and external audits and partner with auditors and Business to close gaps identified
At least 8 years of experience in information security technology, Network, Web and Infrastructure / endpoint security tool sets and controls solution within both a legacy and cloud environment - preferably in a financial services organization
Demonstrated success with managing large security and technology capability initiatives
Demonstrated ability to use data and data analytics to guide Business decisions and identify problems
Knowledge of regulatory standards and requirements based on data classification and protection
Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
Public Key Encryption and Identity and access management experience a plus
Ability to work independently and be comfortable making program decisions
Demonstrate a strong ability to identify, analyze, and solve problems
Excellent oral and written communication skills, and attention to detail
