POSITION SUMMARY:

As a leading member of the Cyber Security Operations Center (SOC), this position will be responsible for delivering enhanced capabilities for monitoring, alerting, and responding to Cyber events. The positions reports to the Director of Cyber Operations, and work cross functionally with IT Infrastructure, legal, risk management and incident response team. Will work closely with the Cyber Operations Analysts as technical mentor during an incident, capture key information, and communicate with the Cyber Incident Response Team (CIRT).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with Director of Cyber Operations to define and deliver enhanced security capabilities for the SOC

  • Provide expertise in defining vendor specific technical capabilities

  • Function as technical lead to delivery project commitments for security technologies

  • Deliver continuous improvement throughout the whole Enterprise Information Risk Management team

  • Develop, lead and maintain MassMutual’s cyber incident response procedures that address legal, privacy to compliance, and business requirements

  • Automate cyber security event responses with SIEM capabilities

  • Develop and implement standard procedures to support incident response.

  • Interface with key leaders and stakeholder across the Enterprise.

  • Participate in Blue Team exercises to validate Cyber Security posture

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-3 years responding to Cyber Events\Incidents

  • Experience deploying SIEM capabilities

  • Malware analysis and exploitation techniques experience

  • Understanding of network, desktop and server security technologies

  • Proficient with various network intrusion methods, containment, segregation techniques using traditional parameter defenses

  • Experience with deploying various Cloud Security Architecture (ie. Hybrid, Private Cloud, Public Cloud)

  • Comfortable working in ambiguous situations, adapting, and reprioritizing efforts and resources as needed

  • Strong communication and documentation skills with an ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to leaders and peers

  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Project Management experience deploying enterprise security solutions

  • One or more of the following certifications: CISSP, SANS GCFA, GCIH, GREM, AWS

  • 3-5 years responding to Cyber Events\Incidents

  • Strong knowledge of incident response and crisis management
