MassMutual Information Security Project Manager in Springfield, Massachusetts

Position Summary

MassMutual’s Enterprise Information Risk Management organization is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for all facets of project management related to the delivery of information risk or cyber security solutions.

Role Characteristics Include:

  • Primary point of accountability to business sponsors and other parties for planning, day-to-day execution, management, implementation and reporting of medium to large projects and/or small to medium programs often of varying scope, high complexity and non-contained risk that support basic to moderately complex business unit or corporate goals.

  • Deliver projects using Agile & Hybrid methodologies

  • Accountable to manage and monitor project tasks and controls during project planning and delivery activities to ensure on-time and quality goals are met within scope and budget.

  • Work independently and apply advanced project management knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to project deliverables, processes, communications and presentations in order to meet or exceed stakeholder needs and expectations.

  • Understand, apply, promote and contribute to driving continuous improvement and efficiencies.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and lead project team meetings to maintain adherence to project timelines and requirements.

  • Accountable to business sponsor(s) and management to drive delivery of quality solutions tied to clearly understood business problem(s) and benefit(s)

  • Supply accurate project estimates and tightly manage project budget, approved funding, forecasts and actuals

  • Secure and maintain project resources and actively manage resource plan

  • Provide solutions and continuous improvement opportunities to efficiently solve problems

  • Listen and effectively communicate with clarity, precision and transparency

  • Hold self and project team accountable for outcome

  • Remove barriers to enable project team to complete objectives

  • Effectively negotiate priorities and solutions with sponsors and stakeholders

  • Drive lessons learned and knowledge retention for future use

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant Project Management experience

  • Proven delivery of Agile projects

  • Proven ability to apply advanced project management skills, tools and techniques to project deliverables, processes, communications and presentations

  • Effectively utilize current project planning, reporting and support tools (e.g. project management software)

  • Comfortable working in ambiguity

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with strong meeting facilitation experience

  • An action-oriented, driven, entrepreneurial mindset

  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors’ degree and/or PMP Certification

  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence

  • Experience managing application encryption, application and data governance efforts

  • Experience with Informatica Test data management platform a plus
