Software Products Team
Software Products is the central focus for real-time software development, integration, and test and validation activities within Raytheon Missile & Defense. We provide engineering design processes, standards and test expertise to Raytheon's current programs, along with new system technology development. We ensure that our customers' requirements are implemented, tested, validated and integrated into deployed systems throughout the world.
The role will be in the Software department Tewksbury providing software engineering, integration and test expertise to the naval combat control systems and undersea sensor systems within Raytheon Missile & Defense. Software gives individuals the opportunity to perform various engineering activities depending on their experience and skill level. These activities include software development, integration, test, modeling and simulation, requirements development, simulation data analysis, and overall systems integration.
This position can be a (Freshman Technical ST01, Software Technical ST02, Junior Technical ST03, or Senior Technical ST04) based on the candidate's qualifications and standing as outlined below:
ST01 (Freshman Technical or Administrative Intern)- must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program
ST02 (Sophomore Technical or Administrative Intern)- must have completed 30 credit hours by start of internship
ST03 (Junior Technical or Administrative Intern)- must have completed 60 credit hours of college by start of internship
ST04 (Senior Technical or Administrative Intern)- must have completed 90 credit hours of college by start of internship
ST05 (Post-Graduate Technical or Administrative Intern)- must have an undergraduate degree and be enrolled in a graduate degree program (in degree fields listed in Qualifications You Must Have) by start of internship
Qualifications you must have:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics
The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualified candidates must come from Massachusetts General Hospital Aspire Program or Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission intern program.
Qualifications we value:
GPA of 3.0 or above
Reliable method of traveling to the work location daily
Knowledge of modern software languages -- C, C++, JAVA , Unix and Unix derivatives
MatLab and other analysis tools
