IT DEVOPS Engineer, Software Tools Automation Raytheon IDS, Woburn or Tewksbury, MA Information Technology Engineering Solutions Business Management and Work Environments Help us to improve the technology & tools used by our Engineers so that they can innovate and deliver faster results for our global customers! This role is an exciting growth opportunity for a DEVOPS Engineer in the IDS IT Classified Engineering Solutions and DevOps organization. The primary responsibility for this position is to automate engineering tools as part of an efficient DEVOPS software pipeline. Other responsibilities include testing and integration of new engineering tools and operating systems, and their incorporation into the next generation of the DEVOPS pipeline. Provide tool installation and configuration support to one or more IDS programs. Responsibilities include: Design and develop solutions to automate the installation and configuration of IBM and Atlassian engineering tools Consult with engineering leads on re-designing workflows and processes Research and provide recommendations on new toolchains, and develop migration strategies for their use Develop solutions for deploying toolchains in a standardized model in Cloud environments Support the automation and maintenance of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines Provide documentation of implemented environment by authoring procedures, work instructions and program profile documents Manage the release of upgrades and patches to the environment Provide guidance on software engineering infrastructure requirements Monitor tool utilization, performance and stability Please note that this role requires an active US DOD Secret Security Clearance within one year of employment. Except in rare cases, only US citizens are eligible to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance. Capped Relocation is available for the selected applicant if they are eligible per company policy. This role can be located in either IDS Location in Tewksbury, MA or Woburn, MA. This role can be filled at either the G09 or G10 level based upon the experience level of the selected applicant - determined by the hiring manager's discretion. Basic Qualifications: 5 years’ experience working with or administering the following tool sets: IBM Rational (ClearCase, DOORS, Rhapsody, Rational Team Concert) Total professional experience - 6 years for the role for G09 level or 8 years for G10 level - Hiring manager discretion. Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems Proven analytical skills and the ability to understand and troubleshoot complex tool-set problems. Working knowledge of Agile concepts and methodologies Must possess an active US DOD Secret Clearance. Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or other technical discipline. (Significant applicable experience in lieu of degree will be considered). Desired Qualifications: Experience with C, C++, C# or Java Proven work with Perl and C Shell scripting Experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Git, GitHub) Experience in writing IaC (infrastructure as code) using Chef, Puppet or equivalent Understanding of code analysis tools such as Coverity Strong knowledge of release engineering concepts Working knowledge of IA tools and concepts Working knowledge of Cybersecurity tools and concepts Solid organizational skills.
