Job Summary:

In Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) we integrate, verify, and validate our products. We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. To accomplish this we develop plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, develop test environments, and work hand-in-hand with our customers.

The LTAMDS System Integration and Test (SI&T) Environments & Hardware Integration Team Lead is responsible for managing all cost, schedule, and execution for SI&T test environments & hardware integration activities for the program. These activities include, but are not limited to, Directorate Estimate at Completion Reviews (EACs), Directorate-level proposal reviews, staffing projections, and monthly metrics tracking. The SI&T LTAMDS Test Environments Team Lead is responsible for leading the team that plans and executes the development, implementation and integration for test environments for the LTAMDS program. This will include the hardware in the loop systems and facilities for tactically representative hardware items. The SI&T LTAMDS Test Environments Team Lead will be the primary SI&T interface to the customer community, program management, the integrated product team (IPT), the chief engineer, test architect and other stakeholders regarding test environments. The individual in this role guides and supports a small team of Systems Engineers in their integration and maintenance of test environments.

This position is an hybrid role in Tewksbury, Massachusetts. Travel as required to meet programmatic objectives. Regular travel between Raytheon locations in Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire is required.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Manage the execution of all scope of work assigned to the SI&T LTAMDS Test Environments Team, determine the allocation of personnel within the team to perform that work

  • Support program growth through proposal development, capital appropriations requests and the deployment and continuous improvement of people, processes, and tools

  • Manage cost and schedule for team – including managing EVMS for scope on government contracts and Raytheon capital projects

  • Lead team performing the stand-up, integration and maintenance of test environments

  • Collaborate with Program Managers, Chief Engineers, Test Architect, and multiple functions to support the planning, standup and integration of test environments to support LTAMDS programs and LTAMDS integration & test strategy

  • Responsible for developing a team capable of delivering products that include integration plans, integration information sheets (IIS), test plans, verification items (VI), analysis scripts, test procedures and test reports

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 10 years of prior experience in Systems Engineering and/or System Integration.

  • Experience developing cost estimates for proposals

  • Experience developing or maintaining test environments, including hardware in the loop systems, test equipment, or tactical system test sites

  • Experience with system integration and/or system verification

  • Earned Value Management System Certified

  • Active and transferable US Government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. US Citizenship is required, as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with radar hardware and software

  • Experience with DoD or similar major programs throughout the product lifecycle

  • Experience working on international programs

  • Experience in management of diverse engineering teams

  • Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

  • Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

  • Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

Clearance Information: This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
