Philips Director of Enterprise Quality Systems in United States of America - Home Based, Massachusetts

This is a new position in the MS – QMS Transformation organization to support the transformation activities of Philips Enterprise QMS. This is a key leader that is responsible for providing strategic and ground breaking direction, and operational leadership to establish Philips Enterprise QMS.

You are responsible for:

  • Leading, transforming and establishing Philips Enterprise QMS model by effectively establishing Philips QMS standards, QMS processes, and Philips Integrated Landscape (PIL) IT tools

  • Being a role model Change Manager to establish PQMS through close collaboration with many partners to influence lead Philips strategy of standardizing QMS processes.

  • Working closely with manufacturing site Q&R leaders and other key partners to ensure all Philips sites fully align with local and international standards as part of QMS processes and other relevant regulatory/global standards suitable for their processes within their sites.

  • Working closely with QMS process (G)BPOs/BPEs/SMEs and take care of effective implementation and transformation of Philips QMS strategy and continued compliance to MS processes.

  • When necessary, you will partner with local sites and Philips group level compliance team to support creation/submission/closure of responses /Competent Authority observations to come to a positive outcome for company.

  • Partnering closely with Cluster Market and Functions to develop premier auditing controls with site to ensure effective alignment to downstream.

  • Acting as a transformation agent to drive compliance and accountability to Philips Key Performance Indicators.

  • Working with various leaders to establish standard reporting tools to provide daily, weekly, monthly reports and updates aligning all Philips Enterprise QMS Leadership Team.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required in science or engineering fields. Master’s preferred.

  • Familiarity with global medical device regulations, requirements, and standards to support process planning and resource designation a distinct advantage

  • 10+ years of experience in medical device quality engineering with 5+ managerial experience

  • Supporting MS-QMS Transformation in developing data system to provide early warning systems across QMS processes to ensure clear issue mechanisms are defined, adhered to, and resolved. Will work with Global Head of Q&R MS-QMS Transformation to develop and deploy reports to bring up to Enterprise Leadership and deliver standardized reports to Cluster/Market/Function site leaderships.

  • Establishing a strong core QMS team and drives common goals and objectives to result in improved customer experience, operational excellence & dedicated regulatory compliance. Represents business needs with customer as appropriate to provide updates on product related matters.

  • Attracting, developing, engaging and retraining team members to ensure strong and talent succession in quality & regulatory organizations. Drive ambition towards Philip’s people strategy, act as a coach and co-own the career development plans of team members.
