Lead Cloud Platform & Big Data Engineering Manager, Cybersecurity

Responsible for architecting, designing and implementing a new, cutting edge, cloud platform security for transforming our business applications into scalable, elastic systems that can be instantiated on demand, on cloud.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Design, develop, configure, test, debug and document all layers of the Cloud stack to satisfy the new big data system & Security requirements. Research and evaluate alternative solutions and make recommendations for changes that would enhance the security of the platform.

  • Managed the Cloud hosting platform as well as the design and implementation of higher level services such as the IaaS, PaaS and SaaS layers, big data platform, Authentication/Authorization, Data encryption, Key management services integration and other security services.

  • Provide comprehensive security, threat analysis consultation to business unit, IT management and staff at the highest technical level.

  • Work closely with Cloud Services management to identify and specify complex business requirements and processes that drive the platform security Patterns and roadmap.


  • 5 Years Required; 7 Years Preferred

Required Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience with security design documentation

  • 5 years of experience with complex IaaS / PaaS / SaaS concepts

  • 5 years of experience presenting to Cloud, Big Data and security engineering teams.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

  • Desire to solve complex problems at scale

  • Experience with Software engineering, system administration, systems/data security, and network engineering.

  • Strong Data Security and encryption Services expertise –

  • Experience with Databases, Messaging, Caching, Big Data solutions,

  • Strong Programming skills with ability to code.

  • Ability to leverage APIs

  • Understanding of security, authentication and data structures.

  • Certifications: CISSP, CCSP, AWS, GCP or Azure Security Certification

Potential Salary: $157,700.00 USD

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).Â
