Wolters Kluwer Associate Director Technology in Waltham, Massachusetts

Clinical Effectiveness (CE), a Division of Wolters Kluwer Health, is searching for an Associate Director of Technologies reporting into the Director of Business Transformation. You will partner to lead and build a team that will create and deliver on meaningful, large scale technology programs that increase the ROI of CE’s systems and technology and improve the overall value and performance of the organization. Your vision and the work of your team will ultimately make systems/processes more efficient, reduce manual, low-value work, and enable the company to run better, make better decisions, and be more profitable. A key responsibility of this job is the development, realization, and support of highly flexible and scalable business applications that are designed for continuous availability and optimized for CE’s business processes.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage multiple work streams and internal and external resource from solution, architecture, development, QA, deployment and ongoing support and maintenance of new and existing technologies

  • Ensure timely delivery of prioritized roadmap projects with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and efficient execution.

  • Responsible for ensuring there are project release plans and successful deployments across multiple pre-production and production environments; overseeing the roll-out process, sequencing events, and ensuring the hardware and software systems are fully deployed, implemented and functioning.

  • Ensure solutions that (1) business users love and want to use (2) will scale with CE as it grows

  • Understand and manage constituents’ expectations and expressions of priority through continuous communication with those stakeholders

  • Act as the infrastructure stakeholder in critical projects, ensuring project success by understanding the needs of the business and leadership, identifying appropriate solutions, and determining how technology should be leveraged to make the solution happen

  • Enable your team to provide highly responsive and continuous support to the solutions you provide

  • Partner with leadership on budgeting and financial projects

  • Partner with Product to ensure the backoffice systems can support new product offerings from opportunity to cash.

  • Work with the finance and security teams to make sure the systems that are being implemented comply, are secure, and ensure CE has a secure infrastructure

  • Ensure that management and controls for systems, applications, and data must comply with all audit requirements

  • Support the organization's key initiatives by providing accurate, and timely data to decision makers across the enterprise.

  • Responsible for the DBEs, Solution Architects, Development team, and QA teams.

  • Develops and enhances data accessibility, level of integration, and ownership roles and responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years proven experience as the leader of Enterprise Systems Infrastructure at technology companies

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Passion for the intersection of user experience, technology, and business value

  • Deep understanding of business systems and infrastructure including the universe of SaaS business products (Salesforce, NetSuite, Dell Boomi)

  • Experience in database development, data management, data governance and analytics.

  • Experience supporting a global sales and service organization of 650+ using Salesforce Sales Cloud, CPQ, Service Cloud, Communities and PSA, including optimizing user experiences to reduce overall process friction

  • Deep understanding of operations and quote-to-cash systems and how they’re best integrated with Salesforce

  • Experience as a change agent, delivering large-scale technology and behavioral change in an organization

  • Proven experience leading the consolidation of business systems / processes / applications

  • Highly effective and proven project management skills

  • A leader with an opinion and confidence in decision-making. You will be comfortable making recommendations to the team with the knowledge that not every recommendation will be taken

  • A style that is engaging and open, capable of working hard under significant pressure

  • Ability to build relationships with business partners and to influence within both IT and business communities

  • Strategic thinker with ability to quickly grasp business strategy and develop an enterprise business systems direction to match

  • Experience with sensitive data and creating systems that meet the security and compliance needs that come with the management/ownership of sensitive data

  • Experience working with a variety of data and system providers, with large structured and unstructured data sets and in applying advanced data analytics desired

  • Experience in using key analysis tools like Business Objects, Trillium, and use of BI Tools from Qlikview, Tableau and Power BI is a plus

  • Demonstrated track record of consistently meeting and/or exceeding performance expectations.

  • Proactive, creative, and self-starting nature.

  • Enthusiasm, positive attitude, and a drive to succeed are critical.
