In this role you will be exposed to all areas of the US Business and build a working knowledge of National Grid’s Enterprise Risk Management approach.
You will learn to evaluate the risk mitigation activities within the Business and interact with those who perform assurance activities (Second Line of Defense).
You will participate along with the Chief Risk Officer Organization to provide support to a community of practice ensuring that the risk process in operation is optimized to facilitate the achievement of NGUS business objectives.
Provide support for maintaining Excel worksheets utilizing complex functions (filtering data and developing graphs) and PowerPoint presentations (graphics and uniform branding)
Assist the Business in maintaining the quality of information within the Global Repository (GRC Archer)
Participate in team meetings to identify risks and provide a platform of advisory services that enable employees to assess and manage risk and foreseen threats
Validate testing performed by Second Line providers

Qualifications for this role include:
Pursuing a degree in Risk Management, Finance, Insurance, Internal Audit, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field
Enrolled in a full-time degree program at an accredited college or university
Accumulated 18 or more credits
At least 18 years of age
Authorized to work in the United States for the entire duration of the assignment
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills a plus
Internship duration will last for at least one-year and will consist of no more than 20 hours per week when school is in session
