National Grid is hiring a Program Manager for our Gas Scenario Planning & Solution Delivery department in Waltham, MA.

As the Program Manager for Gas Scenario Planning & Solution Delivery, you’ll play a pivotal role on The Gas Future State and Strategy Activation team and the organization. You will be a leader helping us execute the new way we plan for and meet our customers’ heating needs. Your focus will be to manage the roll out of our new approach to planning for meeting our gas customers’ needs leveraging all available including new technologies and demand-side solutions and build buy-in for and commitment to that change, while developing an enduring long-term capability.
Work across multiple functions to coordinate: gas demand scenario definition that reflects the changing clean energy policy landscape; gas capacity needs identification in light of projected gas demand growth; development of solutions to meet customers’ needs across gas supply, network infrastructure, and demand-side options; multi-criteria option evaluation; solution portfolio recommendations to senior leadership; and solution portfolio implementation progress
Manage the change program to fully implement and continuously improve the gas scenario planning and solution delivery operating model
Leverage strategic perspective and problem solving to test internal thinking and drive the continuous improvement needed to successfully implement and execute the gas scenario planning and solution delivery operating model
Lead the development of internal-facing and external-facing evaluations of gas capacity needs and options, leading “virtual” teams of cross-functional subject matter experts
Staff governance bodies with membership ranging from managers up to senior executives to drive strategic agendas, track and follow-through on actions, and align meeting objectives with process milestones

· Gain exposure to leadership within the Gas Business Unit and to VPs and SVPs across functions through your critical role in staffing governance and decision-making committees focused on gas scenario planning and solution delivery
Bachelor’s degree required (master’s or advanced degree is a plus) and 7+ years of related work experience or equivalent to include Program or Project Management or Change/Process related initiatives
Understanding of current trends within the gas utility industry
Innovate strategic thinker and solutions oriented
Experience in stakeholder management and ability to collaborate effectively across multiple disciplines or functional groups
Strong analytical background/technical acumen with ability to gather & analyze data
Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to connect with a varied audience of diverse backgrounds, skills, and experience
Valid driver's license
