Commonwealth Financial Network Project Manager in Waltham, Massachusetts
Bring your project management expertise to our PMO team and support the delivery of projects and programs to successfully meet the goals of the organization and your business partners. Working with a project sponsor and/or product owner, you will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of specific projects, ensuring consistency with the company’s strategy, commitments, and goals.
Facilitating the definition of the project charter, scope, milestones, goals, and deliverables
Partnering with business stakeholders, when needed, to develop business cases, process flows, and requirements
Building consensus with senior cross-department stakeholders, presenting status to executives
Defining project tasks and resource requirements from various in-house teams
Developing project plans at the task, milestone, and resource level
Collaborating with project sponsors or product owners to develop road maps and milestone plans
Tracking project against plan—anticipating events that may require a contingency plan, recommending corrective action, and ensuring that stakeholders are kept informed
Providing management, direction, and support to the project team
Managing multiple small to medium projects, or one large project/program
Working with Scrum or project teams as needed to get projects completed
Managing vendor selection and management
Familiarity with Scrum
Strong, clear communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)
Ability to facilitate meetings with executives
Persuasive, adaptable, encouraging, and motivating
Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Additional skills and knowledge
5+ years’ project management experience
Financial services industry experience
Business analysis experience
Experience working independently, as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
