The Saucony Originals Associate Product Developer is responsible for supporting and executing the brand’s initiatives for assigned projects from design concept through commercialization.
Collaborate and build relationships with design, product management, and Asia counterparts in order to take a product from concept stage through commercialization
Carry out the development of products following the agreed upon design, materials, costing, function, and esthetic.
Adhere to seasonal product calendar with a focus on hitting appropriate deadlines.
Support all aspects of the product creation process, thru clear communication, coordination and follow up with team members.
Create and manage tracking and status reports on product development process/related issues.
Enter and manage development data in the product development system
Coordinates the product confirmation sample process.
Fact check and ensure data is properly entered into the system for product specification packages and technical packs.
Performs duties consistent with the Company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies.
Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
1+ years of work experience required, preferably in the footwear/fashion industry.
General understanding of footwear constructions and materials or have the abilty to quickly learn
General knowledge of fit/construction and costing or have the abilty to quickly learn
Analytical thinker; visual and hands-on learner.
Must be able to follow-through and have strong attention to detail.
Ability to effectively communicate, including the ability to manage strong and effective cross functional relationships within the organization.
Strong computer skills – Microsoft Suite and Adobe Illustrator.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Normal office environment. Some travel may be required both domestic and international. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Flexibility to work outside normal hours to meet deadlines.
