Responsibilities

Seeking an IT Enterprise Application Analyst in the Waltham and/or Franklin area. The primary focus of the role is to execute application administrative tasks. In addition, the IT Enterprise Application Analyst is required to provide application training, documentation, support process improvement, and application incident response. This role shall work closely with the end-users to understand business objectives and provide daily support activities. The day-to-day support activities include but are not limited to:

  • End user support for ERP products up to Tier 2 In-depth technical support;

  • Production of documentation and technical procedures;

  • Application maintenance and testing for both ERP and related proprietary applications;

  • Administration and support of business applications; and

  • Creation of SQL scripts and reports.

Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning

  • The IT Application Analyst shall be responsible for identifying, defining, recommending and implementing ERP system enhancements and upgrades.

Operational Management

  • Is primarily responsible for working with internal customers on application and existing work process issues, along with new process development initiatives;

  • Responsible for providing technical and organizational support;

  • Diagnosing and resolving technical issues;

  • Create and document process flows;

  • Ensure continuous delivery of application services;

  • Troubleshoots basic application malfunctions;

  • Serves as primary liaison between ERP end users and the IT department;

  • Work with all staff levels in assessing needs for various business functions;

  • Responsible for daily application maintenance activities;

  • Documents system maintenance processes and proper configurations for ERP applications;

  • Supports system testing activates including performing test cases, documenting results, and reporting findings to stakeholders;

  • Ensures appropriate user security is applied to applications and performs routine audits;

  • Develops and tests SQL scripts for reporting;

  • Develop training material, workflows, and procedures; and

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelors degree in the field of finance, business administration, or computer science, or equivalent experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Experience configuring, maintaining, and supporting ERP applications;

  • Proficient in the use of reporting and analytics tools;

  • Experience in the development of documentation and training material;

  • Experience creating SQL scripts for use in conjunction with ERP applications;

  • Working technical knowledge of system security concepts and role based access controls;

  • Strong internal customer service skills;

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

  • Ability to work independently as well as with others in a collaborative deadline-sensitive environment;

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment;

  • Knowledge of MRP and Inventory practices preferred; and

  • Knowledge of Deltek enterprise resource planning applications preferred.
