National Grid Senior Software Quality Engineer, Technical Delivery in Waltham, Massachusetts

We are hiring a Senior Quality Engineer for one of our critical business units to drive & be a leader in one or more key functions of QE.
Be responsible for driving the Software Quality Engineering efforts across unit, module, system and user acceptance testing
As a potential leader, provide expert oversight, mentoring team members and leading quality initiatives in large development efforts. Experienced in effectively delegating work
Be a catalyst to develop ONE team mindset across geographically distributed QE
Be responsible for designing and implementing test framework including automation in a fast-paced Agile development environment using the latest software development and test methodologies.
Work with multiple teams, define QA tasks with priorities, and help team members to fulfill them.
Represent QA teams and participate in planning and execution using agile methodologies such as SCRUM and serve as a key driver to improve product quality.
Work with Product Line Leaders (PLLs) to understand product requirements & vision.
Participate in all sprint activities including, daily scrums, grooming/sizing, planning, requirements gathering, story writing, and solution design sessions
Interpersonal- Experience Required
Demonstrate valued business partner capabilities and behaviors in all interactions with colleagues, vendors and business stakeholders.
Self-directed and motivated.
Possession of excellent interpersonal, team, and relationship-building skills.
8+ years of experience in software/quality engineering
Have strong mindset of solution provider, capability to derive big picture and deep understanding of application solution & design.
Have an open mindset & worked in team culture of offshore/onshore and vendor partner model
Awareness of transformation i.e. Agile/Digital/DevOps journey
Should have good knowledge on SQL, Oracle and must have hands on experience querying database
Experience with Jira or similar tool for managing defects, test cases and reports
Experience with using test management tools such as HP ALM, X-ray including writing and executing test scripts
Experience in automation tools like Selenium, Rest Assured, and Appium
