SQL Database Developer

job summary:

Associate Database Developer

The Associate Database Developer will be part of the Advanced Analytics team and will work closely with team members while performing various duties - development and analytical - on large, complex data sets for the pharmaceutical industry.

These databases/warehouses aggregate large patient-level data sets which are used across the organization for analytical purposes. The individual will, develop, implement and maintain the databases/warehouses infrastructure as well as their corresponding processes.

Other responsibilities include analysis and QA of incoming data, ETL processing and ad hoc data requests.

The DB Engineer will work with developers and analysts to provide data access, manipulation, and analytics via database programming, extracts, and tools. Additionally, candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, strong technical and analytical skills, possess excellent communication skills, have a positive attitude, and be able to efficiently organize their work.

Requirements

Ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related Engineering field.

  • Knowledge of relational databases concepts, warehousing and ETL

  • Exposure to ETL development (SSIS)

  • Exposure to Microsoft SQL Server

  • Strong data analytical skills

  • Data modeling & design

  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical claims data a plus

  • Hands-on experience with Azure technologies a plus

  • Professionalism, proactive communication, and ability to multitask in a versatile environment

  • Take pride in producing high quality work
