Preferred location: Nashville, TN; however, qualified candidates located within a commutable distance of an Anthem office will be considered.

The Director AIM Operations is responsible for the utilization management organization at AIM for a membership base in excess of 40M lives. This includes a comprehensive team of non-clinical, nurses and doctors.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Provides leadership and oversight in the development of strategic short and long-range vision, operational goals, policies and decision making which will improve operating effectiveness, consistency, quality, and efficiencies while maintaining a high level of provider & client satisfaction across multiple AIM products.

  • Oversees implementation of new clients & client product/program expansions, including UM program design, business process design, configuration, provisioning, and fulfillment.

  • Formulating and enacting the plan for creating these new functions, and then managing their ongoing execution & results.

  • As principal business owner of AIMs operational infrastructure & platform, including telephony, CRM, and business process/work-flow management capabilities, partners with key IT leaders to identify areas for systems improvement emphasizing a phase approach minimize risk and effectively managing change management across the organization.

  • Works closely with AIM executive leadership in Clinical Programs, Client Management, Solution Management, Compliance & Quality, and the Chief Medical Officer to operationalize, sell, and implement AIM solutions.

Qualifications

+ + Requires a BS/BA degree in related field and a minimum 10 + years of management experience in healthcare services managing large-scale operations and business process design, mobilization/launch, management, & improvement; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background. MBA preferred.
