VHB Financial Transformation Program Manager in Watertown, Massachusetts
ABOUT THE POSITION
VHB is looking for an experienced Financial Transformation Program Manager with previous experience rolling out financial software and processes within the built environment services industry. This position is an important leadership role within IT and will also partner with the COO and CFO. You will be responsible for stakeholder management and project management for the replacement of our financial platform and the modernization of the associated processes. VHB has good accounting and finance processes and analyses in place, but within an end-of-life platform with multiple extensions and customizations. This platform replacement will provide opportunities to modernize user interfaces, simplify processes, reduce technical debt, and automate reporting and analysis. Communication and relationship development is an essential skill within the collaborative VHB culture. This transformation requires managing relationships and expectations with stakeholders including executives, finance managers, project managers across the company, and IT team members. Success will depend on an effective change management plan.

You must be able to travel to VHB headquarters in Watertown, MA where key stakeholders are located on an as-needed basis. Candidates can be located anywhere in the Eastern U.S. region, with preference for those located near a major airport.
Responsibilities
Stakeholder management and relationship development
Implement a communications plan and facilitate information flow
Provide strong conceptual leadership and negotiate compromises and consensus between stakeholders
Deliver successful project and program outcomes
Manage a large implementation team through influence
Develop and manage a detailed plan, monitor progress, and keep on schedule
Manage detailed project activities including running technical review meetings
Anticipate, identify, and help mitigate issues and risks
Uncover opportunities for innovation and simplification including sunsetting legacy applications
Identify and schedule deliverables and milestones
Coordinate personnel, technology, and budget
Share Expertise
Advise on change management
Proactively improve processes and technologies
Learn & Push Boundaries
Experiment with new technology, financial process, and change management methods
Learn constantly, inside and outside the company
Question the status quo and push VHB forwards
Qualifications
8-10+ years of project management experience and 5+ years of related technology experience
PMP certification
Relationship management and communication skills
Demonstrated success as a project leader
Knowledge of project management methodologies
An ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity with poise and diplomacy
Accounting knowledge including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management and financial reporting
Technology knowledge including coordinating the implementation of SaaS software, custom software, APIs, reporting and analytics
Experience building teams and developing staff
Strong organizational and planning experience
Change management experience
Process improvement experience
Analysis and problem-solving experience

Our best estimate of the salary range for this position located in New York City is $117,000-$176,000. The final compensation will be based on a variety of factors such as individual qualifications, education, and experience.
