CVS Health Executive Director, Data Science in Wellesley, Massachusetts

Job Description

Caremark LLC, a CVS Health company is hiring for the following role in Wellesley, MA: Executive Director, Data Science to plan, direct, and coordinate activities for CVS operations analytics teams. Duties include: direct daily Data Science operations across the enterprise; define the strategic roadmap for the use of data science to improve clinical outcomes; lead the design, development, and deployment of analytics solutions and measure the impact on health outcomes for patients and customers; manage multiple high-profile work streams and deliver quality, timely results; present results to senior leadership within the company and communicate effectively with a non-technical audience; review project plans and coordinate project activity and teams; assign and review the work of Data Scientists and Data Science Managers developing and deploying AI-based solutions for healthcare using advance machine learning and modern data computing infrastructure; and monitor the handling of sensitive, confidential, and protected data in compliance with HIPAA regulations and patient safety best practices. Multiple positions.

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. Requires three (3) years of experience in each of the following: Data analysis for health care industry, products, or systems; Cloud technologies: Azure, AWS or GCP; Hadoop and Hive; Spark, MySQL or NoSQL; Agile methodologies or SAFe Software Development Principles; JIRA, Rally, or Confluence; SAS or SQL programming languages; Visualization tools, including PowerBI or Tableau; Machine learning and predictive modeling; Healthcare analytics, health research, health data, and patient care continuity; Leading teams of analysts and data scientists or data engineers; Developing business strategy and presenting to executive stakeholders; and Software development lifecycle.
