Primary Purpose

The Digital Products Platform Engineer will lead and optimize the operational aspects of our digital products at United Site Services. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless coordination between cross-functional teams, implementing efficient processes, and driving operational excellence in the delivery and support of our digital product portfolio. Your role will involve designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based IT systems, ensuring their availability, performance, and security. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, automation, and a proactive approach to monitoring and troubleshooting are essential aspects of this position.

Essential Functions

  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline operational processes related to digital product development, release management, and ongoing support.

  • Implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency and reduce time-to-market.

  • Create and maintain documentation for cloud infrastructure configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

  • Work closely with quality assurance teams to define and implement robust testing processes.

  • Ensure that digital products meet security standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Stay informed about the latest security threats and technologies.

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and report on the operational performance of digital products.

  • Implement monitoring solutions to proactively identify and address potential issues.

  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior leadership on operational metrics.

  • Develop and implement an operational strategy that aligns with the goals of the Digital Products Group and the overall business objectives.

  • Identify opportunities for operational improvement and efficiency gains.

  • Collaborate with product managers, development teams, marketing, sales, and customer support to ensure seamless coordination throughout the digital product lifecycle.

  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels between different operational functions.

  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Proven experience as a Platform Engineer or similar role.

  • Proficiency in infrastructure management, cloud services, and automation.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Knowledge of security best practices.

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

  • Familiarity with Agile or other project management methodologies.

  • Experience with tools and platforms for project management and collaboration.

  • Knowledge of quality assurance processes and methodologies.

  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.

  • Travel as needed.
