Job Description

The Global Senior Strategic Partner Manager, Single-Use Endoscopy is responsible for the strategic vision, acquisition, management and growth of Olympus’ strategic partnerships. This position will help develop and execute the partnership strategy, manage projects, execute operational plans, and own relationships.

As the global market leader in endoscopy, single-use endoscopy is a critical component of Olympus’ overall medical strategy of providing the right scope for every patient and every procedure, in every site of care. In order to accelerate time to market and leverage best-in-class products and technologies that improve patient outcomes and improve workflow, Strategic Partnerships are an integral part of Olympus’ Single Use Endoscopy overall strategy and execution plans.

The Global Sr. Strategic Partner Manager will collaborate across other functions to execute on Olympus’ product portfolio plans by developing selection criteria for strategic partners and then identifying, assessing and selecting strategic partners. They will assist in contract negotiations and manage the process of working with strategic partners to define project requirements until product development or licensing projects begin. They will also manage and own all ongoing relationships with strategic partners for single–use.

Job Duties

  • Bring partnerships from identification, assessment and selection through deal close and initial relationship kick-off.

  • Maintain a cadence of regular communication with partners to scale, nurture, and optimize partnerships beyond launch, identifying incremental, mutually beneficial opportunities to grow the partnership

  • Develop strong and deep relationships with our key partners across single-use product areas

  • Manage all internal and external executive communication, meetings, and engagements.

  • Advocate for the partner internally and for the Olympus’ team needs externally with the partner

  • Work collaboratively & cross-functionally with business development, marketing, operations, project management, engineering, product management, and legal, and communicate to execute our obligations as articulated in each partnership.

  • All other essential related duties as required

Job Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree required, with MBA preferred.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience within medical devices, diagnostics, and/or pharmaceuticals.

  • Minimum 5 years of business experience in strategic partnership management is required (ideal candidate will have a blend of strategic partnership management and technical experience).

  • Ability To travel up to 25%, including international.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with medical scopes is strongly preferred.

  • Outstanding written and verbal presentation and communication skills

  • Strong project management skills and tangible experience identifying, assessing and selecting strategic partners.

  • Ability to achieve results by working cross-functionally and collaboratively with a matrixed organization

  • Tangible experience in managing and growing strong strategic partnerships.

  • Ability to understand and assess technical and financial requirements for strategic partnership selection and develop selection criteria.
