Are you looking for the next step in your career?
This position will be responsible for designing, executing, and reporting out results from applications experiments, focused on direct flow filtration (e.g. depth filtration, sterile filtration), tangential flow filtration (TFF) and continuous bioprocessing. Work will support a larger R&D team tasked with bringing new products and product applications to the biotechnology market. Typical work will include product benchmarking, scalability, DOEs for robustness, and occasional testing at customer sites.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
Works with Sr. Engineers to design, execute, and analyze data from experiments required to characterize new products and/or processes. Characterization work to include prototype evaluation, scalability testing, performance mapping, and product benchmarking. Applications to include large molecule processes (e.g. mAb) and/or gene therapy processes.
Collaborates in multi-functional teams focused on developing a specific product.
Communicates effectively through technical reports and presentations.
Contributes to publications submitted to technical journals and presents at scientific conferences.
Complies with legal requirements through adherence to requirements of existing and new regulations and legislation.
Ensures a safe and healthy environment by complying with all company safety policies and procedures.
Up to 5% travel meeting with customers and Pall teams in different geographies (domestic and international).
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in biological or chemical science or engineering field, M.S. preferred.
Relevant 3+ years of industrial and/or research experience in downstream processing, and protein characterization. Filtration experience preferred.
Data analysis and problem solving skills.
