RedHat Associate Program Manager - Technical in Westford, Massachusetts
The Red Hat Software Engineering team is looking for an Associate Program Manager to join our program management team in Westford, MA. In this role, you will be an integral part of an engineering team responsible for maintenance of Red Hat’s flagship offering, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), which will include coordinating support, development, and quality engineering (QE) teams. You'll work with geographically distributed engineering teams, coordinating their deliverables and maintaining overall schedules. As an Associate Program Manager, you will also develop and nurture key relationships with product owners, development management, and QE management.
Primary job responsibilities
Develop and maintain schedules for individual releases
Coordinate and lead team meetings
Report status across cross-functional teams
Perform overall process management like tracking, approvals, and prioritization
Foster an environment of collaboration, trust, and accountability for departmental or cross-functional teams
2+ years of experience related to delivering technology services or offerings; open source experience is a plus
Disciplined with the ability to work in a distributed work environment
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Dynamic and effective on-line meeting facilitation skills
Familiarity with defect tracking processes and systems
Advanced team building, leadership, and collaboration skills
Result-oriented with solid follow-through skills
Expertise using and an understanding of Linux-based operating systems and related technologies is a plus
