Network Infrastructure
The pandemic has highlighted how important telecoms networks are to society. Nokia’s Network Infrastructure group is at the heart of a revolution to bring more and faster network capacity to people worldwide through our ambition, innovation, and technical expertise.
The IP Routing division leads the industry with the best Network Processor technology (FP5), QoS, parallel processing, Network Function Virtualization, and product quality. Products cover the spectrum from small CPE-devices supporting a few low-speed Ethernet links to carrier-class and datacenter-class systems supporting terabits of routing capacity. Our world-leading technology enables us to offer customers 800GE and 1.6T links with unparalleled routing features.
What you will learn and contribute to
As part of the team, you will:
Support both Windows and Linux servers and offer scripting assistance.
Take care of Test equipment and their associated applications.
Support the physical DUTs (devices under test) power, interfaces etc.
Complete a testbed build using next generation networking equipment.
Education Recommendations
Currently a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th-year candidate for a bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, Software/Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field with an accredited school in the US.
What is Nokia looking for from me
You have:
Ability to work as part of a team to collaborate for the most efficient solution.
Familiarity with scripting languages like Perl, Python, TCL, and/or VBS
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word
It would be nice if you also had:
Excellent communication skills, written and oral
Good problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently
Exposure to assembling Network or IT equipment
Exposure to Frontend framework for inventory or other database UI.
Understanding of IP Networking, Ethernet connections and routing equipment.
Web UI development, JavaScript, Django or similar framework experience
