Description Position Summary:

A Sr Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for support and development of one or more business intelligence platform that our client has. This includes working with the BI tool to translate business requirements into functional specifications; creating data model, data warehouse and be ready to analyze large amount of data. This position Is located at our Westford, MA corporate headquarters.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with multiple teams (onsite and virtual) and acts as a liaison between different business units and IT team in gathering requirements for developing reports, new data model for business analytics tools used by the company (TOAD, Orbit, Wave and any other new tool)

  • Build dashboards to show market trend, sales, revenue etc.

  • Provide business recommendations for picking the right solution for BI.

  • Come up with new reporting solutions that will help business reduce error and provide better SLAs.

  • Implementation and Support role

  • Provide orientation and training to end users whenrequired.

  • Maintains system documentation by writing and updatingprocedures.

  • Protects operations by keeping informationconfidential.

  • Interfaces with various levels of staff levels with the highest level ofprofessionalism.

  • Troubleshooting application related technical issues anderrors.

  • Provides input to business leadership team on prioritization within IT portfolio and works well with the cross functional team.

  • Manage projects with varying degrees of complexity, provide production support to the business users and system processes, and ensure high level of IT service.

  • All of the user requirement and technical documentationskills:

    • Ability to research and analyze multiple available commercial software solutions as responses to the business requirement and present those alternatives with criteria fordecision.
  • Ability to analyze long term business impact of proposed changes on supportedapplications.

  • Must maintain documentation related to the work management and user prioritization for supported applications utilizing the methodology and procedures prescribed for use by client IT applications team.


  • BA/BS in Computer Science is highly preferred, but degree in Mathematics, Economics or Statistics is also acceptable.

  • 5+ years' experience with BI Implementation, data modelling for oracle databases with any of the tools like Microsoft Power BI, Oracle, Tableau etc.

  • Must have a solid understanding on the industry they are involved in. Strong business acumen is key to identifying trends in the data.

  • 10+ years of direct experience with Oracle Applications

  • Candidates should have at least 2 full life cycles with hands-on configuration experience in any BI.

  • Very proficient with SQL since that is critical for understanding data and providing solutions.

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving and analytical skills
