Business Solutions Analyst - Regulatory - 2592

job summary:

We are seeking an experienced business analyst who will specifically focus on projects that are being initiated to comply with emerging state laws and regulations. This person needs to be able to be able to synthesize orders put forth in filed regulatory documents and be able to decompose the changes into testable and unambiguous business and functional requirements for developers to design and build the solution. The candidate should be comfortable engaging cross functional business teams to discover requirements and communicate them clearly.

work hours: 8am to 5pm

responsibilities:

Candidate will be responsible for reviewing regulatory orders, understanding what needs to be changed in our systems and facilitating scoping, estimation and requirements documents in support of IT projects initiated to comply with these orders.

Preferred candidates will have a good understanding of the electric and gas utility meter to cash process, exposure to Customer Information Systems, credit/collections, and renewable energy concepts such as distributed generation. Candidates from other industries will be considered if they can demonstrate an understanding of rates, billing and/or credit and collection processes.
