Textron Dynamics Engineer in Wilmington, Massachusetts
Conduct analyses to validate performance of mechanical systems using kinematics and vibration theory. Experience required in rigid and flexible body dynamics analysis using MSC Adams and MSC Nastran. Participate as a member of product design teams providing product performance results influencing design direction and requires excellent communication and writing skills.
Mechanical Engineer, minimum of 4 years’experience.
Candidate will be member of a team responsiblefor the development and design. integration of mechanical systems primarily formilitary and aerospace applications.
Analytical skills to validate mechanical dynamicdesign solutions, proficiency with MSC Adams Dynamic Modeling required, MSCNastran normal modes and forced vibration analysis a plus. Experience boundingproblems and CAE solutions using closed form and approximate numerical methodsfor kinematics and vibration response.
Experience creating rigid body dynamic, shock,and vibration test plans for small component and large structures to verifyanalytic approaches.
Demonstrated analysis skills in randomvibration, shock response spectrum analyses, and spectra generation fromdynamic testing.
Working knowledge of NX 12 CAD desirable.
Proficiency in writing skills and with aptitudefor both technical and proposal styles.
Strong verbal communication skills areimportant.
Securityclearance is required at Secret Level.
Education Requirements: BS in Mechanical Engineering or Higher degree
