Electrical Design Engineer
Primary responsibilities include:
Design, develop, document, and prove-in new automatedacceptance test equipment required for new and existing electronic products andassist with transition of this equipment to Production Test Engineering.
Develop functional test stations utilizing state-of-the-artIEEE-488, VXI & LXI Instrumentation in a context of automated parametricmeasurements, while maintaining a modular, flexible and scalable designapproach. Experienced with Agilent VEE(preferred), LabView or LibWindows CVI.
Perform test development activity in accordance with customerspecifications and requirements. Able to interface with product developmentteams to determine appropriate test strategy and coverage for functionalrequirements.
Ability to lead a small group of test equipment designengineers.
Ability to lead the conduct and documentation of tradeanalyses.
Ability to manage resources and financial cost accountsefficiently, focusing on ever-shifting priorities, continually seeks ways toimprove individual/team efficiency.
Write process, test and calibration procedures and reports.
Provide technical support to others across the organization.
B. S. in Electrical Engineering with a 5-10 years experiencedeveloping instrument driven test equipment.
M. S. in Electrical Engineering with 3-8 yearsexperience.
Experience with environmental stress screening methodologies,boundary scan and BIST are a plus.
Computer programming experience with Agilent VEE andLabView. Must also be proficient in MSOffice.
Effectively communicates with and engages all levels of theorganization verbally and in writing; translates technical decisions/strategiesinto business terms and implications; produces clear, understandabledocumentation geared for all audiences.
Exhibits an assertive personality with a strong bias foraction with a results-orientation; tackles tough problems with firm deadlines.
Experience in problem isolation with demonstrabletroubleshooting skills.
Must have strong written and verbal communications skills andbe able to work in a team oriented environment.
An existing U.S. Security Clearance is desired. The ability to obtain one is required.
