This position will serve as a key member of the Financial Systems team, operating as a full-time leader on UniFirst’s multi-year Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP implementation. Collaborating with Finance leadership, internal IT partners, functional business teams, and external systems integration partners, this team member will bring deep Oracle ERP experience to detailed application configuration to maximize business requirements fit for all Finance functions.

This hands-on leader will also operate as Finance’s focal point for post-implementation functional support and management throughout the Cloud ERP Financials systems life cycle, working closely with functional stakeholders to maintain optimal application configuration to maintain best “process fit” at a detailed level. In this role, the Financial Systems Manager, Cloud ERP will manage direct reports, forming a highly focused team.

  • Serve as Financial Systems Manager, Cloud ERP in support of UniFirst’s organizational process transformation across Finance and connected areas. Work with external and internal teams to ensure Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP Finance tracks have clearly captured all key business requirements and functional specifications.

  • Work with external and internal teams to ensure Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP Financial Systems configuration decisions are made to best address current financial system requirements and provide future flexibility for growth.

  • Partner with internal Finance stakeholders (SMEs) in each Oracle module area to provide thorough analysis of key trade-offs, wherever design choices are less clearcut.

  • Assist Oracle module area owners with test plan and script development in collaboration with external integration partner team and internal IT business partners – ensure testing coverage and traceability to Finance’s business requirements is complete for assigned track areas.

  • Coordinate and drive timely re-testing of remediated configurations and RICE objects before release to testers in internal Customer teams.

  • Support training efforts and ensure process quality in the hand-off to UniFirst, as systems integration partners shift to advisory roles on the way to Production use.

  • Advise internal Finance stakeholders (SMEs) in each Oracle module area as they develop procedures, work instructions and job aids to drive successful solution adoption over the longer term.

  • Ensure reporting breadth and depth meets team needs by documenting specifications and utilizing external and internal delivery resources.

  • Inform team analytic data extract design efforts, bringing added value from direct configuration and application data knowledge.

  • Support internal Finance stakeholders (SMEs) in each Oracle module area on legacy data conversion and mapping, both in design and execution.

  • Work with Finance Senior management to inform ongoing solution extension plans and life cycle management.

  • Support post go-live completion of monthly financial close and related financial system controls, addressing SOX requirements in accordance with financial and business guidelines.

  • Manage Financial Systems Specialist in covering the above, splitting module coverage and driving cross-training where appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Complementary, combined work and educational experience in Finance/Accounting and Information Systems.

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in functional ERP implementation and support of internal Customers – Oracle EBS or Fusion Cloud ERP preferred.

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience managing dedicated project team members or direct reports required.

  • Minimum of five (5) years of Business Analysis experience.

  • Excellent Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills, deep technology literacy and proven ability to adapt quickly to new applications required.

  • Hands-on reporting tool and SQL query skills are a plus.

  • Experience with SOX activities and controls, interfacing with Internal Audit and resolving process and control issues.

  • In this critical support role, candidate must have very strong soft skills and impart service orientation to internal Customer and partner team relationships.

  • Outstanding communication (verbal & written) skills, leadership capabilities and organization skills.
