Systems & Technology Research Security and Information Technology Secure Networks Program Manager in Woburn, Massachusetts

STR is hiring a Security and Information Technology Secure Networks Program Manager who is passionate about collaborative problem solving. Reporting to the VP of Security & IT, the Secure Networks Program Manager will provide a wide range of operational and administrative support functions to improve overall Security & IT operations and provide program management of secure corporate network assets. The position requires a technologically adept and proactive individual who has good management skills, a strong sense of teamwork, stellar communication skills, a customer service perspective, and a continuous improvement mindset. You will be asked to work side by side with the Security & IT Functional Managers, Business Operations groups, and the Technical Divisions to build and manage efficient processes so that the organization can scale.

Primary Duties:

  • Working in coordination with the VP of Security & IT to track and monitor operational security status and key metrics

  • Working with the Functional Managers to track and monitor critical corporate networks that are not aligned to a specific program or have a program manager

  • Assisting Security & IT in tracking strategic group projects to meet key milestones

  • Assessing facility issues that impact the networks under this position’s cognizance

  • Identifying areas where process and process improvement can provide better services and efficiently scale our operations

  • Interacting with internal and external program customers, as well as company leadership

Requirements

  • US Citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a STEM field or manager-level experience in Information Technology or Security related fields

  • Deep understanding of IT Management; LAN/WAN architectures, networking, Windows/Linux operating systems, applications, and IT supply chain management

  • Great interpersonal skills: ability to lead, interact, and communicate effectively with multiple disciplines within the internal and external customer base

  • Ability to successfully prioritize multiple responsibilities and projects

  • Excellent problem solving, decision making and investigative skills

  • Strong analytic skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent verbal and written customer service skills

  • Project management experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project

Desired Skills:

  • Understanding of the DoD Cybersecurity/Risk Management Framework (RMF)

  • MBA, MS in IT Management, and/or PMP

  • CISSP and/or Security +

  • Experience working as US Government contractor or US Government service as a technical representative to a contract

  • Active Security Clearance at the Secret or Top Secret (TS) level
